Location/Division Specific Information

This position is based in Budapest, Hungary, within the Commercial Excellence team of our Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry Division (CMD).

Discover Impactful Work:

As Training Specialist you will contribute to the execution of CMD's Sales Training strategy, ensuring that our sales colleagues possess, all the vital capabilities and skills to meet current and future business performance ambitions. This is a critical role for ensuring the enablement of our Sales Colleagues in EMEA as well as for promoting a sustained positive learning culture.

A day in the Life:

  • Design and Develop Training curriculum: Strategically design, build, and maintain a comprehensive training curriculum, including new hire onboarding, advanced skill workshops, and continuous professional development modules.
  • Skill Mastery Focus: Develop specialized training content focusing on critical selling competencies, such as prospecting, qualification, objection handling, negotiation, and opportunity closing strategies.
  • Training Delivery: Lead engaging, instructor-led training sessions (both virtual and in-person) for all levels of the sales organization, ensuring high retention and immediate application of learned skills.
  • Assessment and Coaching: Implement robust assessment methodologies to measure skill proficiency and provide targeted, one-on-one coaching and feedback to sales professionals and managers.
  • Content Alignment: Partner with Sales Leadership and Marketing to ensure all training content aligns with our commercial strategy, product roadmaps, and value messaging.
  • Program Effectiveness: Track, analyze, and report on key training metrics (e.g., time-to-first-deal, performance against quota post-training) to continuously optimize program effectiveness and demonstrate value.
  • Develop and maintain training calendar
  • Communicate Learning and Development initiatives, events and opportunities effectively
  • Measure the effectiveness of training events and learning initiatives, including clear metrics that drives continuous improvement
  • Act as EMEA ambassador for Sales Training and Enablement programs

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., MBA, organizational psychology, adult learning, etc.) a plus

Experience

  • Experience: 5 years of experience in Sales, Sales Training, or Sales Enablement, with a consistent record of directly impacting sales performance.
  • Expertise: Deep expertise in modern sales methodologies (e.g., SPIN,).
  • Communication: Exceptional presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with CRM, e.g., Salesforce, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and virtual training tools.
  • Experience in an operational business environment; demonstrable customer-focused approach
  • Experience with a Learning Management System is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex, and rapidly growing/changing work environment
  • Excellent communicator
  • Self-motivated with a bias for action and a keen sense of urgency
  • Must possess adequate computer skills in Microsoft 365 Office applications
  • Demonstrable ability to work with and influence business leaders to define and execute L&D plans that support long term business objectives.
  • Passion about training, desire and ability to teach and help others
  • Strong project – and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong written, verbal communication skills and presentation skills
  • Attitude dedicated to working with others
  • Display attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and / or delegate effectively
  • Fluency in English
  • Fluency in other languages (especially German, French, Italian, Spanish) is an asset
