DESCRIPTION:

Join our payroll team at Thermo Fisher Scientific and contribute to ensuring accurate and timely compensation for our workforce. As a Payroll Analyst II, you'll manage end-to-end payroll while collaborating with vendors, finance teams, and HR partners to deliver exceptional service. This position offers opportunities to enhance processes, ensure compliance, and contribute to our mission of enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

Working with systems like Workday and ADP Global View, you'll handle complex payroll calculations, tax requirements, and statutory regulations while providing support for employee inquiries. Your attention to detail and analytical skills will be essential in maintaining accuracy and compliance across all payroll operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collation & Calculation of payroll input where appropriate
  • Working within our defined processes to ensure no control or compliance breaches
  • Work with the appointed payroll vendor to ensure all payments are efficiently led in a timely manner (employee, third party and statutory).
  • Ensure timely delivery of all payroll reports to customers
  • Providing first line support for all payroll and tax related queries
  • Maintain payroll manuals and related payroll instructions
  • Work with payroll provider to guarantee that tax year end reports are delivered in accordance with country legislation and on time
  • Assist and support internal and external audit teams
  • Work with colleagues from around the business to ensure smooth end 2 end payroll processing
  • Introduce process improvements within assigned countries and beyond
  • Participate in business/functional projects as required.
  • Any other duties to guarantee the delivery of a first class payroll service to our colleagues.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 1 - 2 years Payroll Experience and Technical Knowledge of payroll processing for EMEA (having Netherlands Payroll knowledge is an advantage).
  • English language skills is mandatroy and Dutch is advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems, particularly ADP Global View and Workday is advantage.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, lookups)
  • Experience with payroll compliance, tax regulations, and statutory requirements
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple payrolls and meet deadlines
  • Experience working with third-party payroll vendors and service providers
  • Process improvement and project management capabilities
  • Knowledge of Service Now ticketing system preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data
  • Experience with benefits administration and leave of absence processing
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a professional environment
