Your Role:

Join our collaborative sales team at Thermo Fisher Scientific and contribute as an Account Manager:
You will increase revenue and build lasting relationships with customers while representing our comprehensive microbiology portfolio of scientific products and services.

In this role, you will develop and implement strategic sales plans, manage account relationships, and ensure customer satisfaction through consultative selling. You'll work with cross-functional teams to provide tailored solutions that meet customer needs while achieving sales targets.

  • Job Summary

  • Target-driven full sales cycle role covering Switzerland, with ownership of customer relationships for the microbiology business across clinical/medical diagnostics, food analysis, and pharma/biotech QC market segments.

  • Develop and execute a territory business plan to achieve and exceed sales targets supported by accurate forecasting and pipeline management.

  • Drive an aligned territory strategy in collaboration with internal teams and functions to maximize growth and deliver an excellent customer experience.

  • Manage pricing and tender activities to secure profitable and sustainable growth.

  • Provide market and competitive insights and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction across all sales activities.

  • Act as a customer-focused, results-driven sales professional, working independently with strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills, while upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.

  • What will you need?

  • Preferred fields of study or professional education: Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology or related scientific field.

  • Sales experience, preferably in laboratory, scientific, or healthcare industries with proven and consistent track record of target achievements

  • Technical knowledge and ability to understand customer applications and workflows

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50-75% within assigned territory with overnight stays

  • Must live in Switzerland or near border and be able to commute/work in Switzerland 4 days per week.

  • Fluency in German or French. Excellent English language skills.

  • Experience working with Microbiology testing products and workflows

  • Previous experience in Microbiology testing industry (clinical/medical diagnostics, food analysis or pharma/biotech QC)
