Hi, we're The Browser Company 👋 and we're building a better way to use the internet.

Browsers are unique in that they are one of the only pieces of software that you share with your parents as well as your kids. Which makes sense, they're our doorway to the most important things — through them we socialize with loved ones, work on our passion projects, and explore our curiosities. But on their own, they don’t actually do a whole lot, they’re kind of just there. They don’t help us organize our messy lives or make it easier to compose our ideas. We believe that the browser could do so much more — it can empower and support the amazing things we do on the internet. That’s why we’re building one: a browser that can help us grow, create, and stay curious.

To accomplish this lofty task, we’re building a diverse team of people from different backgrounds and experiences. This isn’t optional, it’s crucial to our mission, as we need a wide range of perspectives to challenge our assumptions and shape our browser through a bold, creative lens. With that in mind, we especially encourage women, people of color, and others from historically marginalized groups to apply.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

At The Browser Company, we're building AI-powered browsers that transform how people work and we believe that same spirit of innovation should extend to how we support our own team. You’ll join a small but mighty IT team, playing a critical role in building the systems that keep our global, hybrid workforce productive and secure.

Working closely with our IT Program Manager and partnering across Security, Engineering, and the People team, you’ll strengthen the collaboration tools, automations, and identity systems that enable hundreds of people to do their best work every day. You’ll be deeply involved in the day-to-day delivery of IT services, making sure support, tooling, and processes run smoothly and that every interaction with technology feels seamless and human.

  • We’re looking for a technologist who approaches IT as both craft and service. From reimagining device management to implementing modern IGA tools for just-in-time access controls, you’ll help define what modern IT looks like at a next-generation software company. This is an exciting time to join
  • The Browser Company is growing rapidly and facing new IT challenges as we build the future of AI-powered browsing.

OVERALL YOU WILL...

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated systems for employee onboarding, access management, and offboarding that scale globally

  • Build and maintain RBAC and birthright access policies that give team members the access they need to do their jobs efficiently while maintaining least privilege

  • Deploy and manage secure device management solutions for our globally distributed team

  • Utilize infrastructure-as-code to standardize configuration management

  • Automate routine IT workflows and manage the IT ticketing process to free the team to focus on high-impact work

  • Partner with Security to establish and monitor compliance controls across endpoints

  • Evaluate and recommend new IT tools and SaaS platforms that improve security, scalability, and employee experience

  • Create clear documentation and educational resources that help the team work securely and independently

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • You’re a versatile IT engineer with 5+ years of experience in fast-paced, distributed environments - skilled in SaaS and endpoint management, automation, and light software development, with a strong focus on Identity & Access Management (especially within Google Workspace ecosystems)

  • You have a strong grasp of endpoint management tools and frameworks (MDM, BYOD, MAM) across platforms - primarily focused on macOS environments, with additional experience supporting Windows devices

  • You’re familiar with provisioning workloads on major cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and GCP

  • You’ve implemented and managed SSO systems (Azure, Google, Okta) and SCIM integrations to establish RBAC and birthright access controls for corporate identities

  • You’re proficient in writing reliable, production-level automation code using Go, Python, Bash, or comparable languages

  • You're pragmatic and know how to balance security with an excellent user experience

  • You excel at partnering with stakeholders across the business to synthesize and present technical solutions that drive business efficiency

  • You're excited to work in a fast-paced startup environment where you'll implement new systems and technologies

  • Most of our team is based in North American time zones and we require 4+ hours of overlap with Eastern Time

  • You resonate with our company values https://thebrowser.company/values/.

TOOLS WE USE:

  • Identity and Access Management: Google Workspace, Conductor One, Terraform

  • Email and Messaging: Gmail and Slack

  • Document Creation and Collaboration: Notion, Linear, Google Meet

  • Credential Management: 1Password

  • Project Planning: Linear

  • Endpoint Management: JAMF (Mac), Intune (Windows)

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • Our total compensation for full-time employees includes base salary, equity, and comprehensive benefits. The annual base salary range for this role is $150,000-$200,000 USD. The final offer will depend on your experience, expertise, and interview performance. Our goal is simple: if it feels like the right mutual fit, compensation shouldn’t be the thing that gets in the way. We’ve built a small, talent-dense team who cares deeply about their craft, and we pay competitively in line with current market benchmarks.

  • Benefits. We offer best-in-class benefits (https://go.atlassian.com/perksandbenefits) designed to support you, your family, and your life outside of work. Think big-company perks with startup-style impact, ownership, and ways of working — so you have the space and support to do the best work of your career.

  • Location. We’re a remote-friendly company and can hire in the US or Canada. If you live in New York (or want to visit), you’re welcome to work from our office in Williamsburg.

The Browser Company is an ambitious team of close to 100 people (and growing!) who are passionate about building great products. We are a remote-first, distributed team, with the option to work from office in Brooklyn, New York. We strongly support diversity and encourage people from all backgrounds to apply.

Hello everyone, I’m a recent graduate in cybersecurity (international student in the USA). I have been applying for the last 5–6 months but haven’t landed any proper interviews. I’m targeting entry-level roles in cybersecurity, (I know it’s hard to break into cybersecurity with just a degree. I am also applying to IT support/help desk roles by changing my resume accordingly.) I’d really appreciate honest feedback on: Overall resume structure and clarity Whether my experience looks competitiv
