What to Expect

The Quality Engineering Technician will work closely with Quality Engineering to collect, analyze data, provide reports, charts, graphs, and anything else needed to define, measure, analyze, improve and control product and process quality from their respective shops. The successful candidate must have mechanical aptitude, the ability to meet tight deadlines, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be detail oriented and be able to both take direction and work independently. 

What You'll Do

• Root Cause Analysis and Countermeasures: Conduct product teardowns and independent data analysis to develop countermeasures for quality escapes and field failures, while directing preventative actions and escalating fallout
• Document Creation and Maintenance: Drive the creation, validation, and updating of critical quality documentation, including PFMEA, Control Plans, and general product quality plans
• Leadership in Quality Trials and Validations: Lead the organization and completion of Quality trials with engineering teams, supporting new line validations and fault injection exercises
• Process Establishment and Optimization: Collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers to establish high-quality procedures and optimize production technology and manufacturing costs
• Audits, SME Role, and Daily Oversight: Act as the on-shift Subject Matter Expert for specifications, while developing and reviewing daily process audit plans with cross-functional teams
• Issue Resolution and Containment: Assist in managing the Issue Tracker to resolve manufacturing defects, including part containment and sorting for quality requirements
• Training, Coaching, and Continuous Improvement: Mentor technicians on root cause implementation and partner with engineers and suppliers on ongoing continuous improvement activities

What You'll Bring

• Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, with a background in high-volume manufacturing quality systems and standards like ISO 9001, APQP, and PPAP
• Knowledge of Methodologies and Practices: Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing (5S, TPS, TQM), SQL data manipulation, and basic statistical analysis such as t-tests and capability studies
• Technical Proficiencies: Expertise in electronic test systems, reading mechanical drawings/wiring diagrams, and applying GD&T engineering principles
• Physical and Communication Abilities: Capability to lift and sort parts while effectively communicating technical issues and solutions to leadership in written and verbal English
• General Skills and Environment Fit: Ability to provide leadership in fast-paced environments, maintaining strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Eligibility to work in the Netherlands (EU citizenship or valid work permit) is required
