About the role

What to Expect
We're seeking a firmware engineer to join our AI Linux Systems team, working on low-level embedded software that powers our autonomous vehicles, humanoid robots, and server inference platforms. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy mission-critical firmware for microcontrollers, Ethernet, PCIe switches and other platform subsystems. You will get to work on some of the most advanced AI platforms in the world, shipping software that powers autonomous systems at scale.
What You’ll Do

  • Design and implement firmware for embedded subsystems
  • Bring up, configure, and optimize Ethernet, PCIe switch ASICs for high-bandwidth, low-latency communication between compute nodes
  • Create robust system software architectures that handle inter-process communication and data transport across compute nodes
  • Enable secure boot and updates for a variety of platforms
  • Build telemetry and monitoring solutions for platform health and performance
  • Drive technical requirements for next-generation autonomous system hardware and firmware
  • Collaborate with hardware teams on board bring-up, validation, and debug of new platforms
  • Maintain high code quality through testing, documentation, and code reviews

What You’ll Bring

  • Engineering degree in a relevant field, or equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
  • Strong C and C++ skills required
  • Experience with microcontroller firmware development (bare-metal and/or RTOS)
  • Familiarity with Ethernet, PCIe, NVLink switch configuration, networking protocols, or switch SDK/APIs preferred
  • Experience with Time-Sensitive Networking, including PTP and traffic shaping standards are a bonus
  • Experience with hardware debugging tools (JTAG, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes) preferred
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
