What To Expect
Tesla is accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy. Revolutionary strategies and products were developed within a few years and successfully launched on a large scale. This is only possible through extraordinary speed, innovation and efficiency.

Tesla is seeking an all-round German based Public Policy Manager, to join its growing EMEA team. The role is to help ensure that the political, regulatory and fiscal frameworks in the DACH region support Tesla’s mission, especially by promoting a rapid transition to electric vehicles and automated driving.

Qualified candidates should have a passion for Tesla’s mission, speak at least German and English, possess strong written and oral communication skills, and be able to combine strategy and detail. Significant experience with DACH legislative and regulatory advocacy is needed. Issue area expertise in vehicle automation, electric vehicles or charging is a plus but not required since with the right attitude the learning curve can be steep.

This is a full-time opportunity to be based in Berlin.

What You'll Do

  • Tracking and analyzing relevant legislation, regulation and policy proposals in the DACH region that impact electric vehicles, autonomous driving, and electric vehicle charging
  • Working with European and global Tesla teams to develop policy positions and achieving positive change to support Tesla’s mission
  • Building coalitions within the sustainable transportation and AV communities
  • Working with other Tesla teams like sales, charging, legal, compliance, energy, homologation, product development and engineering, to ensure the best outcomes

  • What You'll Bring

  • You hold solid years of relevant work experience
  • You have a demonstrated track record of successfully designing and executing advocacy strategies and tactics to advance policy objectives
  • You ideally have a BA/BS, with Masters (MPP, MPA, MBA, JD/LLM or other advanced degree) preferred or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability
  • You are committed to Tesla's mission and hands-on attitude, tenacity, strong problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills
  • You have excellent communication skills, with a business level to near native level fluency in German and English (written and spoken). Additional European languages are a plus
