Tesla is seeking skilled and dedicated Body Repair Technicians to join our team and support our operations across Tesla Body Repair Centres, delivery operations, factories, and ports throughout the region in the diagnosis, preparation, and repair of Tesla vehicles. The Body Repair team quickly deploys to Tesla operations in need of critical support to handle large backlogs and help with high spikes in workloads. As a Body Repair Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service, ensuring smooth operations, and delighting our customers at every touchpoint.
Responsibilities:
- Field Operations Excellence: Travel across the region to various Tesla Body Repair Centres, delivery operations, factories, and ports. You will become our on-site expert and set the standard for performing all aspects of paint repair on Tesla vehicles. Your technical prowess and attention to detail will ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
- Customer Service Champion: Deliver outstanding customer service with every interaction. You will engage with customers, address their inquiries, and provide technical support to resolve issues promptly and efficiently. Your ability to build rapport, communicate effectively, and exceed customer expectations will be key to your success.
- Troubleshooting and Diagnostic Expertise: Utilize your problem-solving skills to diagnose Paint technical issues and provide timely solutions. You will work closely with third party paint manufacturers, troubleshoot related paint equipment and systems, actively implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including other technical specialists, training, service, factory, and delivery operations personnel. You will coordinate Body repair activities, share knowledge, and provide valuable feedback to enhance overall Body repair delivery.
- Learning and Development: Stay at the forefront of technological advancements in our industry. You will actively work through the Body Repair Technician training curriculum to stay updated on product developments and continuously expand your technical knowledge on Tesla vehicles.
- Safety and Compliance: Uphold strict safety standards and comply with all relevant regulations and protocols. You will proactively identify and mitigate potential safety hazards, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself, colleagues, and customers.
Requirements:
- Technical Proficiency: A strong background in vehicle paint repair process, equipment, and paint manufacturer systems, with experience in troubleshooting and repairing complex issues or similarly related transferable skills.
- Customer-Focused Mindset: A passion for delivering exceptional customer service. You possess excellent interpersonal skills, are attentive to customer needs, and strive to exceed expectations.
- Problem-Solving Skills: A natural problem solver with the ability to analyze situations, think critically, and develop innovative solutions. You thrive in challenging environments and remain calm under pressure.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Willingness to travel extensively across the region, often at short notice, and work in diverse locations and environments. You are adaptable and can adjust to changing priorities and work effectively within a dynamic team.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal written communication skills in English. You can effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to speak other European languages a plus.
- Ability to asses damages both subframe and main frame of vehicle.
- PPG, BASF or Axalta Certificate is a plus
- Ability to understand and adapt from OEM service manual and solve new issues.
