What You'll Do

Design and build hardware of power electronics converters for use in medium voltage energy applications

Start to finish ownership of hardware – from specification to design, prototype, reliability validation and high-volume manufacturing

Collaborate with mechanical, material, and manufacturing teams to successfully design, validate and manufacture power converters for medium voltage applications

Architecture and modeling of new power converter topologies that achieve better performance

Perform sustaining design activities to improve product quality, cost and/or manufacturability of existing power electronics products

What You'll Bring

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability

Relevant hands-on hardware experience in medium voltage converter design and strong understanding of power electronics topologies (Multilevel, Stacked Cell & MMC)

Experience with high voltage power semiconductor selection, gate drive and protection circuit design

Experience with isolation concepts and technics as well as their fault mechanisms

Strong knowledge of switching waveforms, semiconductor loss modeling, magnetics, capacitors, and analog/digital circuit design for power conversion

Proficiency in schematic capture, power converter simulation tools, and PCB layout optimization for manufacturability, EMC, and minimal parasitics optimization.

Skilled in working with basic EE tools like Oscilloscopes, Network analyzers, Signal Generators, etc.
