About the role

What To Expect:

The Optimus Project Manager will be responsible for project management within the Optimus Manufacturing team at the Tesla Factory in Fremont, CA. This includes managing technically oriented projects from initial scoping exercises through to implementation, as well as driving continuous improvement projects with cross functional teams to drive Key Performance Indicators through the life of the product on an aggressive timeline. This role requires an exceptional capacity for cross-functional interaction and leadership.

The Project Manager will facilitate strong partnerships between cross-functional teams to develop a schedule for key deliverables, track their progress against these plans, and ensure projected goals against Key Performance Indicators are met with exceptional quality, performance and cost.

What You'll Do:

Sustain aggressive continuous improvement plans to meet and exceed department KPI goals Manage cross-functional team to ensure successful launches of new initiatives for Optimus Manufacturing Oversee prioritization and resource allocation Understand how decisions in one area impact other departments and operational goals Track details and manage actions to closure Manage change control to ensure highest quality execution for sustained continuous improvement Provide direction for priorities and trial requirements Perform cost analyses to reduce product cost and manage inventory Coordinate with the process and quality engineers to support new product rollouts and changes

What You'll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience3-5 yrs. Experience in Project Management fields Experience in Production/Manufacturing environment Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Can communicate with technical and non-technical team members effectively Ability to work cross-functionally and manage large teams Works well under pressure and can manage multiple priorities simultaneously Ability to adapt to changes quickly

Expected Compensation:

$96,800 - $217,200/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
