What To Expect
Tesla is seeking a dynamic and strategic Insurance Business Manager to foster alignment between Tesla and insurance companies, ensuring seamless collaboration to enhance customer experiences.

This role focuses on reducing key-to-key times for approvals and repairs, coordinating system integrations and quoting platforms, and establishing Tesla as an "Approved" Repairer with insurance providers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance partnerships, business development, and process optimization within the automotive or related industries.

What You'll Do

  • Partnership Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance companies to form strategic alignments that benefit both Tesla and the insurers, positioning Tesla as a trusted partner
  • Customer Experience Enhancement: Collaborate with internal teams and insurance partners to streamline processes, reducing key-to-key times for repair approvals and completion, ultimately improving customer satisfaction
  • System Integration Coordination: Oversee the integration of Tesla’s systems with insurance quoting platforms and other relevant technologies to ensure efficient communication, accurate data sharing, and streamlined workflows
  • Agreement Negotiation: Lead negotiations with insurance companies to establish Tesla as an "Approved" Repairer, securing formal agreements that enhance Tesla’s credibility and market position
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to expedite approvals, repairs, and claims handling, working closely with Tesla’s service and repair teams
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact between Tesla and insurance companies, ensuring clear, consistent, and professional communication to address issues and align on goals
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to insurance partnerships, repair timelines, and customer feedback, providing regular reports to leadership with actionable insights
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure all partnerships and processes adhere to industry regulations, insurance standards, and Tesla’s quality and safety guidelines


  • What You'll Bring
    Qualifications:
  • Insurance, Automotive Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, insurance partnerships, or account management, preferably within the automotive or insurance sectors
  • Proven track record of negotiating and securing partnerships or agreements with external stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of insurance processes, claims handling, and repair approval workflows
  • Experience with system integrations or technology platforms used in insurance or automotive repair industries
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and propose solutions
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with Tesla’s mission and products is a plus
