About the role
What to Expect
In this role, you will design, install, and commission high-speed part retrieval, packaging, and palletizing systems that interface directly with high-cavitation injection molding machines. You will define manufacturing layouts, processes, and equipment to enable production at rate. Your work ensures safety, quality, and efficiency while reducing cost. You will lead solutions from design through stable production, directly supporting Tesla’s mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.
What You’ll Do
-
Design high-speed part part extraction systems for high-cavitation injection molds
-
Develop systems capable of inspecting and filtering parts across high cavitation molds, via vision or other methods
-
Experience with bulk deburring or finishing operations across high cavitation molds
-
Develop conveyance and palletizing systems for packing parts into boxes and stacking full/empty returnable
-
Perform FAT at manufacturer site to verify system performance against design specs
-
Install, power on, commission, and optimize equipment for OEE before handover to operations
-
Partner with Controls Engineering to ensure systems meet Tesla standards for maintenance and troubleshooting
-
Support engineering builds and validate process scalability for volume production
-
