Tesla is seeking an Intern Electrical Engineer at the last year of their MSc studies (preferably at the conclusion thesis), modeling and measuring electric motor problems with focus on actuators. This person will be working as part of the Tesla motor technology team located in Athens, Greece, towards improving motor modeling accuracy, developing test plans and performing measurements in the dyno lab.
What You’ll Do
- Develop new and enhance existing motor characterization dyno tests to derive motor equivalent model parameters, loss maps to train the model
- Perform dyno characterization tests to evaluate the impact of new materials in motor/system performance and efficiency.
- Write experiment sequence code.
- Write simulation code for testing modeling functions in an isolated way for comparison with experimental results
- Archive experimental results to respective databases.

Fluency in English

Studies in Electrical Engineering

Strong mathematical and physics background

Excellent knowledge of electrical machines theory

Matlab programming

Experience in conducting electric/thermal/mechanical/acoustic measurements with high accuracy equipment (power analyzer, oscilloscope etc.)

Experience with dynamometer layout and Veristand

Experience in advanced electromagnetics modeling

Experience running a laboratory or motor test rig
