We are working on a state-of-the-art data engineering and analytics platform for business and operation intelligence that

is completely home grown. At Tesla we have enormous amounts of data, and our team gives meaning to it. We intend this data to be easily accessed by our users so they can make data driven decisions. Our platform will allow users to

answer "what", "when" and "how" questions as well as allow them to understand, "what if". The BI developer will

help onboarding analytics use cases on this platform and provide analytics consultancy to critical business operations.

Responsibilities

Analyze enterprise business data and generate impactful insights to drive process improvements.

Help with the migration of Tableau/PowerBI dashboards to internal platform after understanding business use cases.

Develop high visibility dashboards to visualize metrics across different business verticals.

Write SQL/Python scripts to aggregate and process data across multiple data source.

Create ETL jobs to calculate key performance indicators.

Improve accuracy and performance of analytics AI agents.

Work with the engineering team towards improvement of the platform.

Requirements

Bachelor's/master’s degree or higher in quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering) or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability.

4+ years of work experience in data or business analytics or engineering related field.

Expert in writing SQL and familiar with multiple database systems (MySQL, Microsoft SQL server, Presto). Knowledge of Vertica is nice to have.

Data visualization expert, familiar with tools and techniques such as Jupyter notebooks, Tableau, Power BI or Superset.

2+ Experience working with Python for data analytics.

Knowledge of Javascript is nice to have.

Working experience with LLM and GenAI solutions is nice to have.

Strong analytical skills with ability to combine and find patterns across multiple datasets.
