Sr. Technical Program Engineer, Terafab
About the role
What to Expect
We are building Terafab, a vertically integrated semiconductor factory at an unprecedented scale. The facility houses logic, memory, packaging, test, and lithography mask production under one roof, optimized for rapid iteration and maximum compute density per square foot.
We are seeking a highly driven Technical Program Engineer to join the Terafab core team, a high-leverage, multi-disciplinary team that owns the big picture for a first-of-its-kind fab build-out. You will be an extreme owner of the integrated program plan and schedule, responsible for setting targets, analyzing change impacts, identifying critical path enablers, and diving in to resolve technical problems that would otherwise delay the program. This role requires you to own problems across supply chain, construction, engineering, finance, and more. You will translate executive-level targets into actionable roadmaps across Terafab's global network of engineering, operations, supply chain, finance, construction, and partner teams. You will dive into short-cycle projects, be hands-on with the program, and personally accountable for removing blockers across the full lifecycle from development through production ramp.
What You’ll Do
- Own end-to-end program plan and integrated schedule, building roadmaps with cross-functional inputs, setting production and cost targets, identifying critical path and bottlenecks, tracking execution, and systematically eliminating delays
- Take technical ownership of engineering problems across fab, process, construction, and production
- Manage critical partner relationships with construction teams, technology partners, equipment vendors, and design teams
- Own change impact assessment and change management for NPI and multi-fab production changes
- Execute critical path programs such as cost modeling, equipment procurement, supply chain deconfliction, and more
- Support program operations through on-call availability and rapid response to critical issues blocking construction, equipment installation, or production readiness
What You’ll Bring
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research, Physics, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience leading large-scale, cross-functional programs such as NPI, production ramp, greenfield site bring-up, or technology transfer
- Proven ability to own and resolve technical problems
- Experience building program plans, integrated schedules, and executive tracking systems for multi-year programs
- Experience operating in high-ambiguity, fast-moving environments where processes don't exist and requirements change frequently
- Strong critical thinking and first-principles problem solving
- Self-directed mentality
- Ability to travel 20% of the time
