Government and Community Relations Manager (m/w/d) - Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg

What To Expect:

As the Community Relations Manager you will be the primary liaison between Giga Berlin and the surrounding community. Your primary responsibility will be to develop, manage, and sustain positive relationships with key external stakeholders, including local communities, government bodies (local, state and federal level), NGOs, schools, and other relevant organizations. You will play a critical role in fostering trust and ensuring that the positive impact of our operations and our core values and initiatives are known to relevant external stakeholders. The ultimate aim is to the establish Giga Berlin as a great place to work, trusted neighbor and key player in transitioning Brandenburg’s/Germany’s economy to a sustainable future.

What You'll Do:

Stakeholder Engagement:
Establish and maintain strong, positive relationships with community leaders, local residents, government officials, NGOs, educational institutions, and other key stakeholders. Act as the primary point of contact for community inquiries and concerns, ensuring timely and effective responses. Organize and participate in community meetings, forums, and events to communicate the company’s initiatives, gather feedback, and address concerns.

Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement a comprehensive community relations strategy that aligns with Giga Berlin’s business objectives and enhances its reputation within the community. Identify potential risks and opportunities within the community, and propose strategies to address them. Develop and execute strategies to influence policy decisions that align with the company’s goals, including drafting position papers, policy briefs, and testimony.

Communication:
Craft clear and compelling messages to communicate the company’s values, mission, and impact to the community and relevant stakeholders Coordinate with the communications team to develop materials and content for community and policy outreach

Advocacy:
Collaborate with governments and associations to influence policy, shape the regulatory environment, and represent Giga Berlin’s interests on key issues

Reporting & Analysis:

Regularly assess the effectiveness of community relations activities and provide reports to internal stakeholders on community sentiment, key issues, and the status of ongoing initiatives. Monitor industry trends and best practices in community relations to continuously improve the company’s approach. Analyze and summarize key political and regulatory trends, providing actionable insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
