What To Expect
As a Construction Project Manager, you will play a critical role in managing and executing construction projects from start to finish. You will work closely with your Project team, Design team, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful completion of projects on time, within budget, and according to specifications. Your technical expertise, organizational skills, and ability to effectively communicate will be key in coordinating and facilitating various aspects of the construction process.
What You'll Do
Lead and manage multi-discipline projects, throughout all phases of construction, with overall architectural build-out, structural, and MEP familiarityTrack site execution and inspections to ensure work is performed according to safety guidelines and quality standards. Ensure adherence of contractors’ Quality Control standards and support internal Quality Assurance/Commissioning for turnover of MEP systemsExpedite solutions to design clashes while coordinating with design team for best path forwardResponsible for project buy-out including developing bid packages, working with Procurement to issue RFP’s, writing contracts and Scopes of Work, and issuing Work Orders. Conduct weekly review progress meetings with project teams to identify scope gaps, risks, project goals, and recovery plansTrack and review contractor invoices. Create, manage, update, and enforce overall project schedule based off project documents. Compare and track baseline from actual and report variances. Familiarity with Primavera P6 or Microsoft ProjectMonitor project costs and expenses, comparing actuals against the budget while also Identifying cost-saving opportunities and suggest value engineering alternatives. Experience in reviewing, generating, and submitting RFI’s and SubmittalsExperience in reading, interpreting, and implementing Contract Documents and Specifications. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, local authorities, industry standards, and codes. Be able to communicate and coordinate with all project stakeholders from contractors, Design/Engineering, and QA/Commissioning teams
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experienceExperience managing construction projects in large manufacturing or industrial environments Strong knowledge of construction practices, codes, regulations, and safety protocolsProficiency in project management software and design toolsDetail oriented and highly organizedAbility to problem solve and make difficult decisions rooted in dataConfident in decision making ability and coordinating among key stakeholders
