What To Expect
The Field Operations Project Manager will address pivotal challenges within our Collision organization, ensuring adherence to standards by dismantling silos, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing crucial field feedback to support partners.

This role involves translating insights from one project to the next while driving process improvements across all Collision sites and functions. Ideal candidates will ensure quality standards are met and deliver cost-efficient, scalable solutions to challenges impacting the customer experience. You will be measured on your ability to execute key service initiatives, including but not limited to production planning, shop loading, scheduling, and mobile service.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with sites in region, root cause day to day issues, support resolution, and provide feedback to support teams on operations and system enhancements to prevent issue occurring again
  • Maintain headcount reporting and allocation accuracy, develop and deploy organizational recognition programs, organization expense management, and maintaining cadence of executive reporting
  • Manage multiple operational projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of milestones, adherence to budgets, and alignment with organizational goals
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of operational programs, recommending and implementing improvements as needed
  • Connect with relevant stakeholders and build cross-functional relationships at all levels within Tesla, from the production floor to top management
  • Work closely with legal, IT, finance, HR, and other departments to integrate operational practices into daily operations
  • Show high adaptability and eagerness to handle extra duties and responsibilities, supporting different areas of the organization beyond their main tasks when the criticality justifies it


  • What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 5 years working experience in collision, used car, or service OR a clear display of excellence and outstanding achievements when experience is missing
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks and develop effective mitigation strategies
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy, quality, and confidentiality
  • Can-do attitude and a maniacal sense of urgency
  • Willingness to work on difficult challenges and projects regardless of discipline. 50% travel based on business needs
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and present complex information clearly
