Quality Engineer, Remanufacturing `
About the role
What to Expect
The ideal candidate is a hands-on
quality engineer who combines strong technical judgment with rigorous data
analysis. You will own quality systems and problem-solving for remanufacturing
operations—defining standards, driving root cause and corrective action, and
enabling production and engineering to ship reliable products. You bring a
positive, can-do attitude, clear communication, and the drive to learn quickly
and lead cross-functional work in a fast-paced environment where people carry
real responsibility.
What You’ll Do
-
Own quality engineering
for remanufacturing processes: control plans, inspection standards, and
process quality metrics -
Lead root cause analysis
and corrective/preventive actions on process, product, and supplier issues
through verified closure -
Develop and maintain
PFMEA, control plans, and reaction plans with process, manufacturing, and
test engineering -
Define sampling,
measurement methods, and acceptance criteria; support MSA/gage capability
where required -
Analyze production and
test data using statistical methods to identify trends, capability gaps,
and improvement opportunities -
Govern nonconformance,
containment, and MRB disposition; ensure traceability and scrap/hold
integrity in systems -
Partner with operations
and technicians to resolve line quality issues and improve first-pass
yield -
Support internal and
external audits and build the quality evidence package for process release
and launch readiness -
Drive continuous
improvement projects that reduce defect rates, variation, and cost of poor
quality -
Coach quality technicians
and production teams on methods, documentation standards, and
problem-solving discipline
What You’ll Bring
-
Degree in Electrical,
Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent
experience -
Minimum 3+ years of
experience in Quality Engineering -
Minimum 2 years of
experience with electro-mechanical assemblies; chemical processes
preferred -
Demonstrated success
applying design for quality, problem-solving methodologies, FMEA, process
capability analysis, hypothesis testing, DoE, and SPC -
Strong background applying
statistical methods to real manufacturing problems -
Minitab, JMP, or other
statistical software capabilities preferred -
Data mining, databases,
and scripting experience (e.g., MySQL, Python) -
