What You’ll Do

• Speaker and microphone quality measurement and manufacturing management in Asia.
• Develop, Manage, Audit, Improve and Correct supplier planning and execution of component manufacturing and assembly techniques and quality control processes from the advanced development phase to mass production qualification.
• Provide leadership for New Product Introduction (NPI) at Suppliers, Lead supplier improvements in scalability, cost, and quality.
• Review 2D, 3D CAD Mechanical Drawings and conduct DFM with suppliers.
• Execute qualification activities, required for product release PPAP.
• Accountable for supplier audits to ensure their ability to meet part performance, delivery, and reliability expectations.
• Collaborate with Tesla Design, Quality, and Manufacturing to determine the ideal performance specifications and supplier metrics.
• Accountable for leading, tracking and improving supplier manufacturing process development and launch readiness for new products and design changes.
• Guide suppliers in developing exceptionally robust processes and procedures to promote efficient and seamless production of high-quality products.
• Validate supplier corrective actions involving design and/or process changes to ensure they are robust, sustainable, and implemented for similar potential concerns across manufacturing lines and/or suppliers.
• Provide input on new or alternative materials for improved design, manufacturability, or cost reduction.

What You’ll Bring

• A fundamental knowledge of electrical, electronics, mechanics, magnetics, and audio experience is a plus.
• Possess demonstrable leadership abilities; Previous experience managing safety critical parts.
• Ability to communicate and direct supplier activities at the management level.
• Ability to define and execute a project using project management techniques.
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Excellent team building skills in dealing with suppliers, peers, and other functional areas.
• Experience in Quality Systems and PPAP/APQP processes.
• Well versed with new product development and customer launch DFMEA & PFMEA and DFM.
• Ability to learn new skills and processes, in development simulation methods and tools
• Knowledge of simulation tools, design tools and methodologies, mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes of electronics Top Level Assembly for EV.
• In-depth knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and inspection.
• Exposure to Design, simulate & qualify product components and assemblies.
• Review and Analyze product specification and operational limits, relative to the successful validation of product.
• Fundamental Knowledge of SMT process.
• Knowledge of Automation in Manufacturing assembly, EOL testing of Electronic Modules.
• Know-how of PPAP for Automotive 
• Know-how of Product Development Cycle for Automotive Electronic Assemblies.
• Knowledge of GD & T, Data Management/Change management processes and drawing standards.
• Knowledge of Plastic, Metal, Part Design, Tooling, and Manufacturing processes.
• Strong technical writing ability and an ability to explain complex issues in a concise and plain manner.
• Must be proficient with SPC and data analysis and have experience in using Statistical Software packages like Minitab or JMP, MS office, especially for Excel and PPT
• BS Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Industrial / Material/ Manufacturing Engineering or evidence of experience and exceptional ability.
• Able to work independently and under high pressure, an average of 50 - 60% travel, possibly on short notice.
