Tesla sets the bar for what a trustworthy & resilient charging network can be. The Charging Operations team ensures that Tesla continues to deliver the best possible charging customer experience through proactive engagement and growth of the global charging network.

The Contract Compliance Lead works on the Charging Operations team in Palo Alto, CA. This role is responsible for maintaining contract data accuracy and compliance for our global Charging network. The role is responsible for program management with a nimble team to meeting obligation, innovate and provide reliable data for critical business decisions and planning. The team and program require highly creative lead willing to leverage AI solutions to keep pace with scale & complexity. The individual will work closely with internal stakeholders (Legal, Business Development, IT & Analytics, and other Operations leads) in addition to external stakeholders like Charging site hosts.

What You’ll Do

  • Own accuracy and integrity of the contract management system: Set data standards, oversee critical-date management, and lead design of process flows, SOPs, and SLAs for the team
  • Lead agreement lifecycle operations: Manage documentation tracking, resolve missing-lease issues and storage of data
  • Direct management of lease obligations end-to-end (one-time, monthly, quarterly, yearly, and ad-hoc reports, insurance, and legal notices), ensuring compliance, accountability, and timely execution through the team
  • Serve as primary Charging business partner to internal stakeholders: Act as escalation owner for disputes, oversee the shared ticketing inbox, hold the team to ≤2-day response SLAs, and deliver progress/status reporting to leadership
  • Drive operational excellence: Lead automation and process improvements with internal systems and stakeholders; define intermediate and long-term solutions that scale the function

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study, or equivalent experience
  • Required experience in real estate or lease administration; accounts payable/receivable experience preferred
  • Experience building agentic solutions for repetitive tasks and driving operational efficiency
  • Proven ability to coordinate and thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented with a focused yet flexible approach to critical tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
