Sr. Product Manager, Certified Service Provider, Energy Services
About the role
What to Expect
Tesla's industrial energy storage products operate around the clock at utility and commercial sites worldwide. Keeping that fleet performing requires a global network of qualified service providers, certified to Tesla standards and accountable to the same uptime targets we hold ourselves to. As Sr. Product Manager for the Certified Service Provider (CSP) program, you will own how Tesla scales this part of the business — defining the program, the partners in it, and the tools that make their work possible. This role sits at the intersection of field service operations, software development, partner management, and product, and is essential to how Tesla supports a rapidly growing installed base.
What You’ll Do
-
Own the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for the Certified Service Provider program for industrial energy storage
-
Define certification standards, training pathways, and performance criteria for certified service partners
-
Build the product requirements, tools, portals, work order systems that CSPs use to dispatch, document, and close out service work
-
Establish service level commitments, scorecards, and recertification processes that hold the partner network to consistent quality
-
Work with project finance and asset management teams to align CSP coverage with warranty, performance guarantee, and long-term service agreement obligations
-
Manage relationships with vendor partners on contract scope, pricing models, and parts logistics
-
Define data and reporting requirements so that CSP work feeds back into reliability, fleet health, and warranty analytics
-
Drive geographic expansion of the program into new markets in step with deployment growth
-
Partner with software, hardware, and operations PMs to ensure new product launches include a CSP service strategy from day one
What You’ll Bring
-
5+ years of product management, asset management, or service operations experience in battery energy storage, renewable energy, or comparable industrial sectors
-
Direct experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS) in operations, service, or asset management of utility-scale assets and Data Centers
-
Background in project finance, long-term service agreements, performance guarantees, or warranty economics for industrial assets
-
Demonstrated experience managing third-party vendors, contractors, or certified partner networks at scale
-
Ability to translate operational, contractual, and financial constraints into clear product requirements
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to executives, partners, and field teams
-
Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
-
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to partner sites and project locations
