About the role

What to Expect

We are seeking an exceptional Chemical/Process Design Manager to join our energy infrastructure engineering team. In this high-impact role, you will lead end-to-end design and engineering for critical construction and infrastructure projects supporting our solar manufacturing facilities—from initial concept through final build. While your primary expertise will be electrical systems, you will also bring the breadth to understand, coordinate, and support other engineering disciplines. You will own the full design process, drive cross-functional execution, and ensure seamless delivery of high-quality infrastructure that advances our mission. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in engineering (electrical focus preferred), construction, and project management. Highly organized, detail-oriented leader with a track record of successfully driving complex, multi-disciplinary projects. Outstanding ability to unite diverse teams, remove obstacles, and deliver results under demanding timelines. Self-motivated, disciplined, and thrives in a high-accountability, fast-paced culture.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and drive the full design and engineering lifecycle for construction and infrastructure projects from concept through delivery to meet aggressive goals
  • Organize and manage all design reviews, packages, and deliverables (including SOW, kick-off, MDR, 30/60/90%, IFP, and IFC) to support every stage of construction
  • Define strategies for design, engineering, construction, and permit packages while managing permitting documents, transmittals, and RFIs
  • Lead technical planning, scope development, change management, programming, and engineering services throughout the project
  • Distill, document, and manage scope effectively; translate stakeholder requirements into clear project deliverables in a highly dynamic environment
  • Coordinate project schedules with Construction and Procurement teams to ensure overall schedule success
  • Own the project funding request process in collaboration with the construction team and manage customer requests

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 7 to 15 years of professional experience, including managing multi-disciplinary teams within A/E firms and complex MEP projects
  • Strong understanding of all engineering disciplines with proven ability to manage engineering resources effectively
  • Demonstrated track record delivering IFB, IFP, and IFC packages
  • Experience designing Manufacturing facilities, industrial facilities, chemical/process systems, and site infrastructure developments
  • Proven experience working with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) and building strong relationships with local jurisdictions
  • Advanced project and program management skills applied to complex engineering challenges, plus experience managing subcontractors and third-party consultants
