This position is expected to start August 2026 and continue through December 2026. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships.
International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

About the team
As a Technical Sourcer Intern at Tesla, you’ll help find top software talent to power a sustainable and autonomous future. In this role, you’ll partner closely with Recruiters, Engineers, and Engineering Managers to support the identification and attraction of exceptional software candidates. You’ll gain hands-on experience sourcing for critical software hiring across exciting areas such as Full Self-Driving (FSD), Robotaxi, AI, Optimus, Dojo, Vehicle Software/Firmware, and Distributed Systems, to name a few.
We’re looking for passionate, innovative students who are eager to learn creative sourcing techniques and contribute to bringing the very best software engineers to Tesla.
What You’ll Do

Proactively source and identify high-quality technical candidates using various channels including LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean searches, GitHub, LLM, professional communities, and other niche platforms and approaches

Support the team in building and maintaining pipelines of qualified software candidates for current and future hiring needs

Assist in developing working relationships with recruiters, business leaders, and hiring managers

Gain a solid understanding of recruiting and sourcing processes in a fast-changing environment

Help provide a positive candidate experience throughout the sourcing process
What You’ll Bring
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Industrial Organizational Psychology, Communications, Business, or a related field
- Available for a minimum of 12+ weeks for the internship
- Able to work full-time, 32+ hours per week
- Self-starters who are results oriented, resourceful, analytical, innovative, intellectually curious and who take initiative and risks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates strong ability to embrace and adapt to change, takes initiative and showcases curiosity
- Learns quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Experience and proficiency in Microsoft office tools/programs (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Previous work experience or internships in related field is a plus
