What To Expect
Tesla is looking for a senior leader to lead the EMEA Energy & Charging Service organization. This position will ensure the successful operation and maintenance of Tesla’s deployed energy and charging products, including industrial & utility-scale battery storage (Megapack & Powerpack), the DC Charging network (Supercharger) and residential storage (Powerwall) deployed across the Europe and Africa regions. This role requires a deep desire to get your hands dirty, solve complex multi-variable organizational challenges, and drive innovation towards true Best-in-Class service.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage best-in-class field service, technical support, asset management and field operations
  • Monitor and maintain sites to achieve industry leading uptime targets in the most cost-effective manner
  • Ensure the service org is meeting our contractual obligations and delighting our customers
  • Review and sign off on service agreements for new projects, ensuring the project is set up for successful operation (from the customer’s point of view) and can be maintained profitably (from Tesla’s point of view)
  • Work with the sales and deployment teams through new market entries to ensure immediate successful operations
  • Ensure the successful creation, delivery, efficiency, and productivity of the service programs in EMEA, both directly and with select service partners
  • Help build and develop certified service partners. Communicate regularly with the contractors on expectations, new programs and processes, and opportunities for improvement
  • Control overall regional spend, and when needed propose cost effective solutions
  • Collaborate with EHS to ensure the safety of employees and contractors
  • Provide thought leadership and input to partner teams like sales, project and service engineering, training, EHS, asset management, software, and analytics
  • Be available 24/7 for emergencies and be capable of pivoting resources for a rapid response


  • What You'll Bring

  • BSc degree in either Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Mechatronics) or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, 3 of these in a senior management role with proven experience in leading large teams, including managing people leaders
  • Previous experience in establishing and scaling a highly successful service organization in either the Renewable Energy, OEM or Energy service providing companies
  • Willingness to get out in the field and travel regularly to countries within the EMEA region, and occasionally travel to Tesla HQ in the US
  • Ability to communicate effectively within org, with partner teams, with global HQ teams and leadership, and with executives within Tesla and on the customer side
  • Analytical, data-driven, technical leadership style that emphasizes first-principles, critical thinking and problem solving
  • Hands-on experience and knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools and materials used in the diagnostics, maintenance and repair of power systems including testing, diagnosis, and repair of electronic systems and modules
  • Knowledge of Li-ion storage and EV charging infrastructure service
  • Fluent spoken and written English required, additional European languages are a plus
