What To Expect
Tesla is accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy. We continuously develop revolutionary strategies and products within the shortest time, and successfully launch them on a large scale. This is only possible through extraordinary speed, innovation, and efficiency.

Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg forms the perfect basis for rolling out Tesla's incredible success story in Europe. The most important pillar of this is our employees. Their passion, motivation, and engagement ensure that we consistently achieve our goals. We are looking for you to continue and expand this success story together.

We are looking for an experienced HR professional who enjoys driving employee engagement and building organisational scalability in pursuit of the Tesla mission. No day is the same, and the ideal fit is someone who thrives in a dynamic organisation where we move fast and drive a solutions-orientated, growth mindset at all times.

We work hard and operate as one people team. We drive excellence and ensure we do so with a positive impact on our team and our people. We care about people, growth, excellence, and results. We tend to lose sleep over them, as this is not easy. Bottom line, we are in search of real people that believe in and deliver the impossible every day for our employees.

What You'll Do
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide advice, guidance, and support to a variety of businesses (Engineering, Charging, Energy, Tech) in a truly generalist capacity. Operating as an HRBP, you will ensure that all HR policies and procedures are implemented in line with legislative and audit requirements; however, you will also ensure we do not do stupid corporate things! You will collaborate with local management, key stakeholders, and People COEs (Recruitment, Operations, Compensation, Benefits, Legal, Employee Relations, People Development, Learning, etc.), ensuring we bring in great talent, grow and develop key talent, proactively support performance improvements, and focus on people succession and the growth of teams and individuals.
  • Drive the local implementation of key initiatives in alignment with the broader HR strategy and business requirements
  • Coach, develop, and support local leadership on an ongoing basis, building local leadership capability
  • Facilitate group sessions regarding Tesla’s annual engagement survey and work with local management on action planning, ensuring consistent follow-up and progress accountability
  • Work with leadership on building culture (workforce sustainability, health, well-being)
  • Advise on local labour law regulations/implications and guide/coach leaders through conflict handling and grievance (in collaboration with Employee Relations and Employment Counsel)
  • Support in organising and facilitating workshops for local stakeholders on any relevant/required topics (from leadership to teaming to labour law, new process implementation, etc.)
  • Champion the HR team; be an ambassador for the team on the ground and support in building our powerful brand and reputation

  • What You'll Bring

  • Strong generalist HR experience is essential for this role
  • Good working knowledge of local employment law and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German, both written and spoken; able to develop positive working relationships across all levels and functions
  • Proven track record of positively influencing teams
  • Ability to connect and engage with all teams at all levels and treat everyone as equal
  • Able and comfortable working in a developing, fluid, and constantly changing company
  • Effectively handle multiple priorities, organise workload, and meet deadlines

  • What We Offer

You will be working in our state-of-the-art Gigafactory, where you’ll solve the world's most interesting problems with the best and brightest people who share a passion for changing the world. Tesla’s compensation package includes a competitive salary and Tesla shares or bonuses. Typical benefits that are offered are a pension programme, 30 vacation days, flexible work arrangements, employee insurances, relocation, and commuting support.
