The Role
Embedded within the Service Operations organization, the Service Finance Control Specialist support financial control and governance across daily service activities. This role focuses on monitoring service-related financial works, validating transactions, reviewing costs and revenues, and ensuring alignment with internal policies and processes. The position works closely with Service Operations, Finance, and cross-functional teams to support accurate financial execution and operational transparency within service departments.
Responsibility
- Monitor and control service-related financial activities, including AR, Parts pricing, cost elements, and revenue recognition, to ensure accurate execution and compliance with internal financial policies and guidelines
- Track and monitor outstanding receivables related to insurance claims, ensuring timely follow up, accurate reconciliation, and coordination with relevant stakeholders to support cash collection and minimize financial risk
- Review, validate, and reconcile service financial transactions and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper application of approved financial and operational processes.
- Support cost control and cost optimization initiatives by anlyzing service operations cost drivers, identifying variances and risks, and providing structured financial insights to Service Operations and Finance stakeholders.
- Work closely with FP&A and Cost Management teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking activities related to service operations, ensuring alignment between operational execution and financial planning.
- Perform regular financial reviews and control checks to ensure consistency between service operational data, financial records, and reporting outputs.
- Provide financial and procedural guidance to service teams regarding pricing application, cost treatment, revenue recognition, and related financial processes.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of service finance control frameworks, reporting processes, and review mechanisms to enhance financial transparency and operational efficiency.
- Support service operation related projects aligned with team priorities and evolving business needs, coordinating with cross-functional teams as required.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and operational finance support in response to requests from Service Operations and Finance managers, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in service finance, finance control, accounting, or a related role within aftersales or automotive environments
- Strong understanding of service operation financial flows, including pricing, cost structures, and revenue recognition
- Proven experience in financial review, control, reconciliation, or audit related activities
- Ability to analyze financial data and translate findings into clear and actionable insights
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English without difficulty
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Service Operations, Finance, and FP&A
- Strong time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to organize, analyze, and present information clearly
