What to Expect

Tesla Energy is seeking a highly motivated Applications Engineer to help accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. Our team is responsible for the successful design and deployment of critical features for Tesla Energy Industrial products, including Megapack and Powerpack.

Our technology stack includes both industry-standard and custom-built hardware and software spanning embedded and server-side systems. Flexibility, an ability to understand and contribute to a diverse set of technical topics, an eagerness to collaborate with stakeholders, and strong engineering leadership are key strengths we expect you to bring to the table.

What You’ll Do

• Identify, define, and implement new processes, tools, and features that improve the speed and reliability of commissioning GWh-scale battery systems
• Define, collect, and analyze success metrics and report on those metrics to a broad range of stakeholders
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and business personnel

What You’ll Bring

• Degree in relevant Engineering discipline with 2+ years’ work experience, or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability
• Demonstrated application of analysis, design, and testing to solve complex engineering problems (e.g., troubleshooting REST APIs or IOT user interfaces)
• Exceptional ability to communicate across a wide range of cross-functional teams and stakeholders with competence and clarity
• Familiarity with industrial power systems
• A passion for sustainable energy
