What to Expect
The Prototype Vehicles team is looking for an automotive technician that is looking to advance their career. Must be highly motivated and flexible to adapt to the fast-paced work environment supporting engineering development.
What You’ll Do
- General fleet maintenance and repair
- Retrofit/modify prototype vehicles to accept new hardware designs from engineering
- Diagnose and repair failures found with prototypes
- Provide failure analysis and design concerns back to engineering
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years’ experience working in automotive troubleshooting and repair (Technical certification from accredited automotive training institution preferred)
- Equipped with own tools
- Ability to operate and maintain shop tools and equipment as welll as operate and maintain various hand and power tools
- Willing to work a flexible schedule as well as the ability to travel
- Work independently and/or collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Show attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities/schedules
- Excellent communication and written skills combined with Microsoft Office proficiency
