Position Description

At Tesla, our Parts Advisors play an important role in service operations, offering fundamental support to both Technicians and customers in our mission to building a World of Amazing Abundance.

As a Parts Advisor, you will provide critical parts support to the service center; liaise with other departments, as well as focusing on the continuous development of your skills. We’ve created one of the most innovative vehicles ever made and you will help ensure an equally innovative service to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Receive stock, pick, ship and transact materials inventory to support the needs of vehicle service
  • Review service parts after receiving the shipment and sort the damaged parts
  • Accurately record parts transactions and data into Tesla System – attention to detail critical
  • Conduct Transactions in system; walk customer through order and provide summary
  • Escalate any issues that need to be addressed to correct any inbound packaging issues from our internal and external suppliers
  • Maintain records of time, expenses, and materials and communicate estimated parts ship and arrival time, including regular updates
  • Follow up with customer on parts order and ensure complete satisfaction with the order. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned and help maintain cleanliness of service center
  • Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
  • Pick up and deliver parts using 4.5t forklift


 

Requirements

  • 3+ years of work experience in automotive industry as a Parts Advisor
  • Technical High School Diploma or Associate Degree is preferred
  • Must possess valid driver’s license and preferably Craftsman Forklift Operator
  • Ability to use MS Office with basic computer skills
  • Ability to read and write basic words in English
  • Understand in basic automotive techniques related to repair and servicing of automobiles
  • Knowledge of Automotive equipment, parts and servicing methods
  • Understanding of Service Center Operational Process and Best Practice
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including the public
  • Maintain and perform top level professional integrity and appearance as a parts advisor
