A 5S Technician is a dedicated and reliable team player with a strong work ethic, focused on maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment. They demonstrate a deep understanding of 5S principles and consistently apply them through daily audits, physical setup, and maintenance of work areas. With a proactive approach, they support their team by ensuring that all processes are streamlined, materials are properly organized, and safety standards are met. They excel in collaborating with various teams, completing tasks on schedule, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
Shift: Monday-Friday 08:00AM-04:30PM
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of Tesla 5S Standardization Guidelines
- Conduct daily physical and visual audits of assigned areas to ensure 5S standards are consistently met
- Complete Audit Scorecards and capture photos to document compliance in assigned areas
- Physically set up new PC Buffer/Supermarket areas, including labeling floors, bins, racks, signage, and clearing debris
- Prepare tools and materials to assist in maintaining 5S standards, including printing, cutting, gluing, and laminating labels, signage, and documents
- Collaborate with Inventory Control, Material Flow, Production, and NPI teams to ensure efficient operations
- Support and adhere to Warehouse Team best practices, and identify discrepancies in materials or components, reporting them to the lead
What You’ll Bring
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
- Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs.
- Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift, reach, stoop, lay, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time
- Frequently and repetitively, climb a 10” step and backdown
- Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, or hearing
- Potential exposure to confined spaces and hazardous materials
- Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
