What makes Tenable such a great place to work?

Ask a member of our team and they’ll answer, “Our people!” We work together to build and innovate best-in-class cybersecurity solutions for our customers; all while creating a culture of belonging, respect, and excellence where we can be our best selves. When you’re part of our #One Tenable team, you can expect to partner with some of the most talented and passionate people in the industry, and have the support and resources you need to do work that truly matters. We deliver results that exceed expectations and we win together!

Your Role:

Tenable is no longer just the world leader in vulnerability scanning; we are the undisputed leader in Exposure Management, as recognized by all the major analysts in 2025. We have led the growth into the Exposure Management market providing a comprehensive Exposure Assessment Platform, empowering organizations to see, predict, and reduce risk across the entire modern attack surface—from cloud and containers to identity and OT.

We are seeking a visionary leader to lead our high-impact Security Engineering team covering UK/Ireland and South Africa. You will move beyond managing a direct go to market SE team and embrace both direct and indirect technical selling within these diverse markets. Proving the platform and scaling the team externally are critical to the success of the region

Your Opportunity:

  • Drive a new mode of performance into an established team: As Tenable moves into a new growth mode, this is an opportunity to deliver scale across the entire selling ecosystem. Be an integral part of cohesive UK GTM.
  • Scale a High-Performance Team: Lead a diverse, hybrid team of SEs across UKI and South Africa, fostering an inclusive culture that thrives on tight team work, high velocity and selling higher in our customers.
  • Platform-First Strategy: Exposure Management is all about platform. Your role will be to lead this across the SE and associated teams to sell higher and faster into larger accounts.
  • Regional Technical Leadership: Serve as the SE leader for the UKI and South Africa markets, ensuring regional requirements are reflected and embraced to further enhance our revenue potential and product development cycles.
  • Cross-Functional Synergy: As part of the UK team, you will be responsible for working across the direct sales, channel, marketing, services and customers success teams to support new and expansion business.
  • Mentorship & Growth: Actively coach SEs at all levels, helping them navigate the transition to platform-based selling and achieving their career milestones within a world-class culture.
  • Culture of Innovation: Foster a "fail fast, learn faster" environment, encouraging proactive problem-solving and a relentless focus on customer qualification and closing.

What You'll Need:

  • Leadership Experience: 6+ years of experience as an SE Manager, with a proven track record of changing and evolving high-output teams to meet new modes of selling.
  • Cybersecurity Expertise: Deep roots in the security industry, specifically within the Exposure Management or Vulnerability Management domains.
  • Platform & Cloud Proficiency: Extensive experience with modern, highly-scaled cloud architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP) and a "platform-as-a-product" mindset.
  • Regional Savvy: Experience managing remote or distributed teams across multiple jurisdictions (specifically UK/I and South Africa) and understanding the nuances of these markets.
  • Strategic Agility: The ability to pivot quickly in response to the fast-moving 2026 threat landscape and Gartner-defined market shifts.
  • Education: B.S. or M.S. Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field.
