As the marketplace expands, so does the need for financial integrity, operational precision, and scalable payout systems.
Join the Target Plus team as a Marketplace Support & Capability Development Lead – Financial Controls, where you will lead the strategy and execution of marketplace payout operations, financial governance, and partner financial performance standards.

The Marketplace Support & Capability Development Lead – Financial Controls focuses on marketplace financial governance with responsibility for safeguarding Target’s financial integrity and ensuring Marketplace Partners operate to defined financial and operational standards. You will define payout frameworks, identify financial risk, and drive adherence to marketplace standards through structured oversight, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and evolve payout models, fee structures, and disbursement strategies aligned to marketplace growth and partner needs

Own end-to-end payout operations, including processing workflows, exception handling, and partner escalations

Serve as the business owner for relationships with payment processors, banks, and financial vendors

Establish and enforce financial standards and controls to ensure compliance with tax, reporting, and regulatory requirements (e.g., 1099, KYB/KYC, Marketplace Facilitator laws)

Partner with Legal, Finance, Accounting, and Compliance to implement audit-ready processes and mitigate financial risk

Build and maintain reporting and dashboards to monitor payout accuracy, issue trends, and partner experience

Analyze payment and operational data to identify gaps and drive continuous improvement

Define partner-facing financial expectations and performance standards, ensuring adherence across the marketplace

Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Partner Services, and Merchandising to influence tools, policies, and capabilities that support scale

Core responsibilities of this job are described within this job description. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.

About You:

  • 5+ years of experience in financial operations, accounting, marketplace payouts, or financial controls

Strong knowledge of financial regulations and reporting requirements (e.g., tax, KYB/KYC, compliance frameworks)

Experience managing payment platforms, processors, or financial vendor relationships

Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience leveraging data for decision-making

Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable insights
