The Pricing & Promotions Center of Excellence (PPCOE) (Enterprise Price) team works on enterprise-wide pricing and promotion strategies, keeping pricing across stores competitive to create more value for our guests. The work is highly strategic, innovative, and collaborative. It involves partnerships with merchants, buyers, senior buyers, leaders, marketing, store operations and finance.
- The Product team at PPCOE makes it easy for our Team Members to do their jobs and create confidence that the price a guest pays is the right price, executed flawlessly throughout the guest Experience. We have four groups of product portfolios
- Pricing, Competitive Intelligence, Promotions and Clearance Product teams, each focusing on building products with strategic intent of enabling sustainable business capabilities that serve the needs of the enterprise.
The Enterprise Competitive Intelligence Product Portfolio Vision
We enable competitive intelligence (CI) across the enterprise by supporting not only pricing for competitively shopped items across Target stores and online, but also a wide range of CI-driven use cases. As a centralized platform for competitor data, we serve as a one-stop shop for enterprise teams, powering decisions across pricing, assortment, promotions, and strategy. We enhance the guest experience by delivering timely, accurate, and actionable insights through robust collection and utilization of competitor data.
Product Teams at Target are accountable for delivering business outcomes through scalable, reliable, and user-centric technology platforms. This role operates across the Competitive Intelligence product portfolio and owns the end-to-end ecosystem including vendor management, data acquisition, ingestion pipelines, and CI platform experience. It is responsible for ensuring high-quality, timely, and consistent competitor data, enabling seamless integration, strong data governance, and intuitive product interfaces that support enterprise-wide decision-making.
Role overview:
As a Sr Product Manager in Competitive Intelligence, you will own the end-to-end ecosystem spanning vendor management, data acquisition, ingestion, and CI product experience, in addition to driving data insights. This role is responsible for managing the full vendor lifecycle—including evaluation, onboarding, performance management, and continuous capability assessment—while ensuring strong cost governance and value realization from vendor partnerships.
A core focus area is the data gathering and ingestion layer, where you will drive scalable and reliable ingestion pipelines across multiple vendors and sources. This includes defining integration frameworks (APIs, pipelines), establishing data validation and quality mechanisms, and optimizing for speed, stability, and coverage of competitive data.
You will also own and enhance the Competitive Intelligence publish experience ensuring that ingested data is translated into intuitive, actionable, and high-adoption tools for pricing and broader business teams. This involves close collaboration with engineering, data science, analytics, and business stakeholders to deliver seamless user experiences and enable effective decision-making.
Overall, this role owns a platform-oriented product scope, covering vendor ecosystem management, data ingestion infrastructure, and CI product experience, while enabling high-quality data delivery and business outcomes across the pricing and broader competitive intelligence portfolio.
About You:

Four-year degree or equivalent experience
-
10+ years of overall work experience with 5+ years in retail
-
6+ years of Product management experience, preferably in data or platform-driven products
-
Master’s degree in Strategy, Product Management, or related field
-
Strong experience in vendor management and external partner ecosystems, including vendor evaluation, onboarding, performance management, and cost governance
-
Proven ability to manage end-to-end vendor lifecycle, including contract negotiations, SLAs, and ongoing capability assessments
-
Experience owning or working closely with data acquisition and ingestion pipelines, including APIs, batch/real-time pipelines, and data integration frameworks
-
Ability to define and implement data quality, validation, and monitoring frameworks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of ingested data
-
Experience building and managing data platforms or product ecosystems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance of data flows across systems

Strong experience in owning and driving product interfaces / platforms (Competitive intelligence UI or similar tools) that enable business teams to consume and act on data effectively

Focus on user experience, adoption, and usability to ensure high engagement with product solutions

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across engineering, data science, analytics, Product operations, business, and external vendors to deliver scalable product solutions

Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working across global teams

Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex systems and align stakeholders

Ability to operate in ambiguous environments, manage multiple priorities, and drive execution

Strategic thinker with strong execution focus and proactive, diplomatic leadership skills
