Who You Are: We are seeking a talented and driven Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of software engineers in building high-quality, scalable, and reliable software systems. In this role, you’ll be responsible for both people management and technical delivery—balancing leadership, mentorship, architecture, and execution. You’ll work closely with product, design, and other engineering leaders to ensure your team delivers impactful software solutions aligned with business goals.

What You’ll Do: Team Leadership & Development

Led and scaled a high-performing engineering team, including managers and senior ICs, driving delivery of complex distributed systems.

Mentored senior engineers and emerging leaders, creating career development plans and promotion pathways that improved retention and internal mobility.

Built and fostered a culture of engineering excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement through strong feedback loops and performance coaching.

Partnered with recruiting to hire and onboard top engineering talent, growing the team while maintaining a high bar for technical excellence

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborated with product leadership to translate business goals into scalable technical solutions and roadmaps.

Acted as a key liaison between engineering, product, security, and executive leadership to align on strategic initiatives.

Presented technical strategy and progress updates to executive stakeholders, influencing investment and product direction.

Technical Leadership:

• Conduct code reviews, documentation

• Ensure projects are going according to schedule

• Raise any red flags if there any internal issues

• Meet with engineering leadership to understand the project roadmap

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5-7 years in a management or tech lead role.

• Proven track record of delivering high-quality software in a leadership capacity.

• Strong technical background in Go Lang or Python.

• Experience managing software development lifecycles, agile methodologies, and engineering best practices.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

• Ability to balance hands-on technical involvement with strategic leadership.

The base pay for this position is $180,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This position is located in our Palo Alto, CA HQ.
