Job Overview:
Roaming Team's mission statement is to deliver on the Un-Carrier promise by providing a positive roaming experience so our customers can stay in touch with people and information, without thinking about their phone or their bill. Roaming Solutions and Products team is at the forefront of enabling these experiences and leading the lifecycle of the products either built inhouse or handled with vendors.
The Senior Manager, Product Management is responsible for delivering the vision, design, product roadmap of a key product or limited product portfolio in an Agile driven environment. Most often leading teams of 20+ FTE or contractors who help run roaming products.
The Senior Manager, Product Management will support P& L goals by building & maintaining relationships with vendors and ensuring our contracts align with technology evolution and latest GSMA standards. This role will ensure our vendor products, systems and processes comply with T-Mobile Cybersecurity policies in our effort to modernize and secure our technology ecosystems; and it will define product vision and strategy with the vendors to ensure products conform to T-Mobile's needs and growth.
Senior Manager is also responsible for hiring and retaining a high performing team of Product Managers / Owners, and Managers to support products and platforms. This role is also directly accountable for developing strong and productive relationships outside with cross functional teams with Engineering, Finance, Accounting and other partner organizations, and supporting vendors.
Job Responsibilities:
- Works in collaboration with Director to develop strategy, plan, goals (outcomes) for their scope of business. Collaboration should extend to customer teams and groups, as well as close working teams within P&T.
- Drive cross-functional alignments with various teams including Engineering, Business Assurance, Financial Operations and Accounting teams to understand current product experiences, identifies areas of opportunity and prioritize feature development.
- Maintains current understanding of the GSMA & Wireless Industry trends for Retail & IoT Roaming. Assesses how trends impact the roadmap or create opportunity for innovation of the products. Collaborates with partners and vendors in analyzing the potential impacts and incorporates analyses into product process.
- Sr. Manager may also own lifecycle management of multiple Roaming Products. The responsibilities include creating, managing, maintaining, and communicating product vision and strategy.
- Develops change management and regularly cascades Vision, Strategy to share goals with corporate priorities from executives to direct reports.
- Regularly provides review and guidance to Product Management team & Vendor on execution related responsibilities. This includes:
- Drives accountability, from both T-Mobile and vendors regarding implementation, service levels and adherence to T-Mobile’s contractual terms.
- Ensures Product Team follows enterprise process to secure and maintain product funding. Works to resolve any blockers or issues with product funding.
- Coordinates activities/communication between internal teams and vendors. Partners with leadership to help determine back-office budget for projects, products, and areas of improvement on cost savings and service quality.
- Represent T-Mobile as a primary contact with the Vendor for performance, quarterly business reviews, concerns, and issue resolution. Build and maintain relationships with vendor leadership to set shared expectations of services delivery/reliability.
- Assists direct reports with ongoing prioritization and resource allocation to ensure scope and outcomes are delivered.
- Collaborates on the creation of development plans for each direct report and creates leadership opportunities for direct reports.
- Creates, communicates, and monitors formal performance improvement plan (PIP) when necessary and appropriate.
- Provides regular, timely coaching lateral (peer) and upward feedback. Cultivate culture in team to enable regular, timely, constructive upward feedback.
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or equivalent experience. (Required)
- Master's/Advanced Degree In Business Administration. (Required)
- 10+ years of relevant Product Management experience in an agile product development environment. (Required)
- 4 – 7 years’ experience leading teams of 5 or more resources in direct reporting relationship in Product Management organization. (Required)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Product Lifecycle Management Experience in delivering large and complex business/technology initiatives. (Required)
- Proven track record communicating effectively with Leadership effectively, while employing a high degree of collaboration and influence. (Required)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences including executives and non-technical leaders. (Required)
- Business Analytics Strong analytical skills with proven ability to identify/analyze/synthesize product use data. (Required)
- Agile Project Management Experience with Agile backlog/project management tools. (Required)

- At least 18 years of age

Base Pay Range: $140,500 - $253,500
Corporate Bonus Target: 20%###
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
