The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering food and restaurant supplies to customers using a commercial vehicle (straight truck). This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial vehicle (straight truck) safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws, company policies, and established delivery routes.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring the vehicle is in proper working order.
• Product Delivery:
• Deliver food products to customers accurately and on time, ensuring product integrity and maintaining proper temperature control.
• Load and unload product safely and efficiently, utilizing a two-wheeled dolly to maneuver heavy items.
• Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures.
• Customer Service:
• Provide excellent customer service to all customers, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
• Address any customer concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.

Documentation & Compliance:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery records, including invoices and driver logs.

Skills

• Customer Service: Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Physical Strength: Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) frequently.
• Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.

Certifications Education

High school diploma or GED

Experience

2+ years of experience

Physical Demands

• Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of heavy objects (up to 75 lbs).
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, squat, and reach frequently.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
