Purpose
Lead and optimize payroll processes, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and providing strategic insights through data analysis and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve complex payroll-related issues and discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Compliance: Ensure payroll practices comply with federal, provincial and local laws and regulations, including tax filings and reporting.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Generate and analyze payroll reports to support financial planning and decision-making.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline payroll processes and enhance efficiency.
- System Management: Manage payroll systems and software, ensuring data integrity and system efficiency.
- Employee Support: Provide support and respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.
- Audit and Reconciliation: Conduct regular audits and monthly reconciliations of payroll data to ensure accuracy. Monthly reconciliation of payroll GL accounts.
- Assist in the accurate and timely processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and supporting various payroll-related tasks
Skills
