
Production Engineering Engineer Controls
About the role
-
Lead efforts to troubleshoot, improve and optimize existing and new manufacturing control systems and equipment across the production floor.

Manage the integration of manufacturing equipment into a machining lines
-
Perform equipment and/or process qualifications and validations (including risk assessments).
-
Conduct root cause analyses and provide resolution of equipment issues.
-
Manage projects (including capital expenditures) to schedule and within budget.
-
Perform all necessary functions from the purchasing, installation, validation and commissioning of new equipment.
-
Responsible for compliance of manufacturing equipment/processes and documentation.
-
Document new and existing procedures as they relate to the manufacturing process.

4-year engineering degree.

5+ years of related equipment controls/manufacturing work experience.

Proficient in PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, Beckhoff, etc.).

Experience with HMI/SCADA development (Factory Talk, etc.).

Self-motivated and self-managed within a dynamic and collaborative team environment.

High performing individual that is able to accept challenges and opportunities as they arise.

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

Excellent written & oral communication skills.

Advanced computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Project.

Knowledgeable in equipment fabrication and assembly.

Proficient decision-making skills.

Proficient problems solving and trouble shooting skills.

Ability to effectively interact with various internal and external customers/ vendors.
