
Vehicle Test Engineer
About the role
-
Responsible for build activities for PRS including engines, transmissions, driveline and vehicles.

Coordination of the mechanics activities (meetings, discipline, performance reviews, training).

Coordinating daily priorities and work assignments for build mechanics.

Build/Confirm planning and negotiating with the product development team.
-
Build metrics and efficiency.
-
Real-time priority decision making.
-
Health and Safety investigations, development, and implementation.
-
Shortage reporting for upcoming builds.
-
Build work orders.
-
Review and update build status. Reports elaboration.
-
Inspection of parts / vehicles as required pre and post test.
-
Request material/consumables required for the builts (engine/trans/vehicle maintenances).

Tear down and reassembly of test articles with updated or replacement parts as needed.

Ensure that builds are planned and executed in a manner that ensures on time delivery of test articles for testing in the lab or for engine/trans vehicle builds.

Ability to drive vehicles on any terrain or in any condition.

Knowledge of automotive mechanics.

Experienced user of MS Office products.

Good analytics, organizational and planning skills.

Ability to work in a team and under pressure.

Effective communicator.

Analytical and decision-making skills, leadership, and the ability to build strong relationships focused on achieving the organization goals.

Knowledge of ICE. Knowledge of hybrid and electric vehicles is desirable.
