
Vehicle Quality Launch Manager
About the role
The Quality Shop Launch Manager prepares, develops, and guides the Plant Quality Team in mastering new vehicle programs and achieving all Quality Launch Targets. The role ensures robust convergence of product quality during industrialization, drives readiness of Quality Shop processes and standards, and leads the transfer of activities to the Mass Production Quality Shop Team.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Launch Preparation & Quality Convergence
Lead Quality Convergence activities throughout the industrial phase.

Facilitate Lessons Learned integration early in the co-design phase.

Coordinate with Program Quality teams and Engineering to identify issues early and drive resolution.

Process & Standards Development
Define, update, and implement Quality Shop control and rework standards prior to X1 phase.

Ensure new vehicle processes and checks are validated and deployed.

Team Capability & Training
Lead training programs for Quality Shop teams to achieve autonomy and mastery by X3.

Support development and upskilling of Quality personnel.

Launch Activity Ownership & Handover
Manage launch activity ownership from X1 to X3.

Oversee readiness and resource alignment.

Cross-Functional Coordination
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Program Quality, Engineering, and global networks.
- Key Decisions & Leadership
Manage Quality Launch Team staffing, training, and budget.
- Assess plant quality readiness at milestones.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field

7+ years of related automotive quality experience

Previous experience in an Engineering Department, Vehicle Plant or Project team

Ability to lead an Engineering team to deliver product changes and launches on time

Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective actions

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal from Executive meetings to the Shop Floor

Self-motivated and directed

Ability to thrive in a high intensity environment while working on multiple projects

High proficiency in verbal and written English
Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced Degree

Reactive Green Belt or Black Belt certification

Previous experience working in Manufacturing and a union environment

Knowledge of Stellantis systems: CQI, WIS, QNA, PFS, FIS, GIMS, Palantir, etc.

Stellantis Production Way (SPW) & World Class Manufacturing (WCM) experience
