WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Statsig is looking for a Security Engineer to join our team! As a Security Engineer you will play a crucial role in building secure systems and implementing effective security measures. You will leverage your strong engineering skills and deep security knowledge to expand and improve Statsig’s security posture.

  • Implement, maintain, and improve software architecture to decrease Statsig’s risk of security incidents.

  • Deliver on key projects that enhance security operations by writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code.

  • Develop and support software including applications, database integrations, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements.

  • Support test and deployment of new products and features.

  • Contribute to collaborative code reviews; maintaining high standards of quality and best practices.

  • Take a generalist approach to building security controls, balancing a mix of security expertise and broad technical skillsets to adapt to evolving challenges.

  • This role involves hands-on engineering and strong cross-functional collaboration to ensure projects align with business objectives and compliance standards (SOC2, ISO27001, FEDRAMP, etc.)

WHO YOU ARE:

You’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and is eager to work on impactful projects that scale. You enjoy collaborative team work and excel at working with large-scale applications and frameworks.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Security Engineering or Security-adjacent field.

  • Familiar with security principles, best practices, and common vulnerabilities.

  • Understanding of common security practices, with the ability to identify and address security gaps or inefficiencies to protect company assets.

  • Experience working within cloud environments such as GCP or AWS.

  • Strong knowledge of at least one programming/scripting language (Python, Ruby, Go, Rust, JavaScript) and comfortable reading and critically reviewing code in languages you may not have deep proficiency in.

  • A proactive mindset with the ability to organize, prioritize, and work autonomously.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to a variety of stakeholders.

  • Statsig is a 5-days-a-week on-site company in Bellevue, WA. You must be able to be onsite.

Compensation:

The base range for this position is $165,000 - $200,000 annually + equity. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as level, position-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
