Who we are looking for
We are looking for a strong candidate to join our accounting team and assist the department with daily reporting to the Brazilian Central Bank and head office, providing various support functions throughout the accounting close process. As part of our accounting team, the candidate will be interested in learning about the financial markets and the products that State Street Brazil offers to the clients. This will be an individual who is eager to learn about the accounting process and routines and willing to work collaboratively to support team members in interacting with other departments.

The team you will be joining is part of the Finance department at State Street Brazil. The position will support the accounting team. You will have the opportunity to provide crucial support during the accounting close and prepare the day-to-day accounting activities and routines in accordance with the policies and procedures of the organization and others regulatory agencies.
What you will be responsible for
As an Accounting Intern, you will

Work and learn directly with the accounting team
-
Daily reconciliation of the Nostro Accounts (i.e. Reserve Account etc)
-
Monthly reconciliation, including balance sheet substantiation and the products of Legacy Systems.

Financial and regulatory reporting.

Provide monthly reconciliation and accounting analysis of Global Finance System

Maintaining the chart of accounts, providing support to Boston Finance (global GL) and local legacy systems

Maintain and grow relationships with internal departments
What we value

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Access, PowerPoint and Excel.

Preferred Qualification
- Must be working towards a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Accounting, Business Administration or Economics. English language would be a plus.
