AWS Cloud Service Enablement Engineer:
JOB Destination: Who we are looking for
A key member of AWS Platform engineering team, who will be responsible to drive design and implementation of best in class AWS Cloud infrastructure to support State Street’s security, governance, and workload requirements. We are looking for an engineering focused and experienced AWS Engineer with strong grounding on core cloud concepts, AWS services, Infrastructure as Code/Terraform and is able design and implement robust and automated solutions.
What you will be responsible for
As an AWS Platform Engineer you will:
- Design and build robust, scalable and secure technical solutions on the AWS Cloud.
- Work with platform architects to define components responsibilities, plan components evolution, and ensure components will meet platform needs.
- Will be responsible for service enablement on AWS based on use case requirements
- Drive GenAI service enablement and improve adoption across organization
- Design AWS services based on AWS best practice and Security baseline.
- Use IAC(Terraform) to develop hardened AWS service modules.
- Develop Policy As a code for AWS environment.
- Utilize native AWS services to meet the firm’s technology and resiliency requirements.
- Drive Identity and access and configuration management, and monitoring strategy for AWS
- Work to ensure automated and manual test needs.
- Work with software development leads to understand workload requirements and guide them to the best leverage of cloud services, optimizing for performance, cost and architectural flexibility
- Create automation scripts for all phases of SDLC
- Performing other tasks as defined, planned, and approved by team lead

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any discipline) or equivalent practical experience.
- 9+ years of hands-on IT experience, including 4+ years designing, implementing, and supporting AWS environments.
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and working in iterative, cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience enabling GenAI capabilities on AWS—preferably with Amazon Bedrock and Agent Core.
- Solid understanding of agentic AI patterns, including tool/function execution, retrieval/RAG, and orchestration workflows.
- Deep knowledge of AWS services, cloud-native architecture patterns, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Relevant industry certifications strongly preferred, demonstrating core infrastructure knowledge and DevOps principles (e.g., AWS certifications, Terraform, Kubernetes, etc.).
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise in cloud computing technologies, with a strong focus on scalable and secure AWS implementations.
- Strong IaC expertise is mandatory, with Terraform as the primary tool.
- Proven track record in automation and AWS service enablement, including building reusable patterns, guardrails, and standardized onboarding workflows.
- Ability to create high-quality technical deliverables and documentation compliant with enterprise design controls and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Experience applying AWS governance and best practices across policy, reliability, observability, role-based access control (RBAC), and networking architectures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols across AWS, Windows, and Linux environments.
- Testing experience (unit/integration/automation) is a plus.
- Financial services or other regulated-industry experience is a strong plus.
Working Hours:
2 PM - 11 PM IST.
