Role Summary & Role Description
State Street’s Technology Platform Engineering & Operations team is seeking an experienced Vice President, Infrastructure Program / Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex, large‑scale infrastructure programs across multiple locations.
This role is accountable for the successful end‑to‑end delivery of infrastructure programs and projects, including planning, execution, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and governance.
The role includes direct and/or matrix leadership of a delivery team based in India, and close coordination with global stakeholders to ensure alignment with enterprise objectives, regulatory requirements, and TPMD delivery standards.
The role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, and the ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and with high quality.
What you’ll do:
Program & Project Leadership
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of large, multi‑stream infrastructure programs and projects across multiple locations.
- Develop integrated program and project plans, including scope, milestones, timelines, deliverables, and expected outcomes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and align on project goals, objectives, and success criteria.
- Monitor progress, identify deviations from plan, and drive corrective actions to keep delivery on track.
Team Management
- Lead, coach, and develop a project manager team based in India, aligned to TPMD standards and global ways of working.
- Provide clear direction, priorities, and performance expectations to project and program team members.
- Enable effective collaboration between India‑based teams and global stakeholders across time zones.
Governance, Risk & Financial Management
- Establish and maintain strong governance, including status reporting, RAID management, and executive escalation.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate delivery, operational, financial, and regulatory risks.
- Develop and manage program and project budgets, ensuring cost effectiveness and financial discipline.
- Track and manage project expenditures to ensure alignment with approved funding and financial targets.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Partner with senior leaders, sponsors, and key stakeholders across Technology, Infrastructure, and Business.
- Provide clear, fact‑based status updates and executive‑level reporting.
- Facilitate governance forums, working sessions, and stakeholder communications.
- Delivery Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure all infrastructure programs meet quality standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with TPMD governance, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate closely with core IT teams including end‑user computing, networks, data centers, sourcing, procurement, finance, and vendors.
Core/Must have skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 15+ years of overall experience, with 6–8+ years leading large‑scale infrastructure programs, preferably in BFSI or captive environments.
- Experience managing complex programs with budgets exceeding USD 10M.
- Ability to lead project teams and collaborate with cross-functional teams including internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong expertise in program and project management, budgeting, risk management, and vendor management.
- Proven experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Project management certifications preferred (PMP, PRINCE2, PgMP, SAFe).
