As part of project pathways initiative, you would be involved in defining the target state platform and operating model of state street investment management arm.

Responsibilities

  • Performing general analytics and modelling in a timely manner to address current and future business needs across various areas of the business.
  • Research and produce business and technical requirement documents.
  • Defining data requirements, data collection, processing, cleaning, analysis, modelling, visualization, development of analytical toolkit and research techniques
  • Analyze the front and middle office workflows and produce detailed functional documents.
  • Work directly with customers and product management teams to gather product requirements and develop feature specifications; involvement in all aspects of the software product life cycle
  • Use process maps to drive prioritization decisions and review documentation to ensure accurate and complete documentation
  • Plan and schedule validation tasks; provide hands-on manual tests; develop verification plans and processes
  • Provide client beta testing support and train personnel on capabilities of new product releases
  • Assist implementation and support to troubleshoot, reproduce and resolve escalated client issues
  • Actively participate in the Agile Scrum as the Product Owner and run the grooming meetings, review the completed work in sprint demos, track progress in standups and plan the sprints with Dev lead.
  • Coordination with cross functional teams to complete the project on-time and release the product.
  • Own retirement strategy for assigned domains; drive execution and sequencing
  • Own lineage completeness and usage across domains.
  • Own OMS stakeholder engagement and integration design decisions

Preferred qualifications and education

  • 12+ years of software development lifecycle experience, particularly Agile Scrum methodology preferred
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with front office processes is a must.
  • Experience with RDMS and hands on SQL is must.
  • Strong understanding of the portfolio management workflows, trading and settlement workflows
  • Experience with process mapping and working on tools like ARIS would be plus.
  • Experience building integrations with third party vendor products
  • Familiarity with various types of financial instruments (Equity, Fixed Income, Derivatives, bank Loans etc.)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation skills
  • Advanced writing skills, including the ability to abstract/summarize highly detailed information
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to reconcile conflicting data
  • Ability to translate customer business needs into application requirements and independently ramp up and proactively resolve impediments to make progress.
  • Strong technical background and ability to come up with technical solution
  • Demonstrated planning, prioritization and scheduling skills and ability translating business requirements into comprehensive functional and technical product specification documents.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI concepts, with the ability to practically apply AI‑enabled tools (e.g., Copilot or similar) to improve productivity, decision‑making, and delivery outcomes.
  • Knowledgeable in one or more Charles River functional financial areas is strongly desired**.**
