The Senior Relationship Manager within the Client Management team will be responsible for cultivating and strengthening relationships with key strategic CRD clients. This role is centered on proactively engaging with senior client stakeholders, identifying opportunities to deepen executive connectivity, and collaborating closely with peers to elevate the overall client experience. The focus is on driving client satisfaction, retention, and growth by acting as a trusted advisor, facilitating meaningful interactions at the executive level, and ensuring that CRD's solutions are aligned with clients' evolving needs and strategic objectives.

  • The team you will be joining is a part of Charles River Development (or CRD), that became a part of State Street in 2018. CRD helps create enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions in the areas of institutional investment, wealth management and hedge funds. Together we have created the first open front-to-back platform

What you will be responsible for

As a Senior Relationship Manager, you will

  • Serve as a recognised leader of the Client Management business within Charles River and represent the function across State Street
  • Maintain frequent communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders, client account teams and business units; Specifically manage and foster the strong relationships within State Street for the collective benefit of our clients
  • Help drive and evolve the strategic direction of the Client Management function, taking into consideration such factors as industry trends, regulatory environments, client feedback, revenue opportunity and competitive analysis
  • Develop relationships with senior client personnel to gain an understanding of client strategy and CRD’s alignment to achieving their strategies
  • Proactively ensure effective client issue resolution, project delivery, and collaboration with other CRD teams

  • Specific knowledge of the investment industry (e.g., financial instruments, workflows, major players, trends, etc.)
  • A strong leadership and management profile coupled with outstanding verbal and written communications
  • Superb business judgment and ability to think through complex business issues
  • Critical assessment capability –ability to maintain a very high bar and drive excellence in work products, services, hiring, etc.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Four (4) year degree in a business or technical field such as Finance, Mathematical Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Computer Science
  • 15+ years’ experience within the Financial Services / Software industry, preferred experience in Relationship Management or similarly functioning role
  • 5+ years’ experience managing high-performing teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail

Additional requirements

  • Ability to travel 20% - 40% may be required.
