Job Description

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a senior Python Software Development Engineer who will contribute to the development, enhancement, maintenance and support of our applications. This is an opportunity to work within a very strong development team and help to develop challenging new products in the financial industry using cutting edge new technology.

The ideal candidate will have strong Python development expertise with AI tech knowledge, and the ability to independently communicate with global stakeholders in English.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

As Application Development Engineer you will:

  • Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to understand the requirement and give better suggestions on the solution or workflow from IT perspective.
  • Designing applications and sperate implementation tasks to individuals team members.
  • Work independently to develop and implement the assigned requirements
  • Perform unit tests to ensure a high-quality product, perform Veracode/Sonar scan to mitigate risks.
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Production issues support and find out the resolution as quickly as possible.
  • Adopt AI technology to enrich our apps with AI functional features
  • Actively participate in the agile software development process by adhering to the scrum methodology including attending all daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives

Educational Requirements and Required Skills:

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent field education background
  • 5+ years of software development experience using Python, proficient in developing multi-tier solutions
  • Rich knowledge of commercial software development
  • Experience with AI development skills is highly desirable
  • Strong experience with PostgreSQL database and SQL programming
  • Experience in micro-services architecture and understanding of Cloud computing and distributed systems is preferred
  • Experience of software development lifecycle and agile methodology
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and develop solutions to fulfill business needs
  • Strong collaboration skills, working with multiple teams in various locations in an agile environment.
  • Fluent oral, written in English communication skills
