Position Overview:
As a senior QA engineer, you will work as a senior team member with high technical skills to design, create, maintain and execute initiatives through the SDLC for one of the key products developed by Enablement Innovation Studios. Working closely with a multidisciplinary global team, you will leverage your expertise in software testing to implement cross-functional test frameworks with well-balanced coverage across UI, back-end integration and database levels.
What you will be responsible for
- Collaborate with product owner to define and drive the overall quality strategy.
- Expand coverage with manual and automated functional, integration, regression, and performance tests.
- Create comprehensive test plans with well defined, reusable test cases from business requirements and functional specifications documents.
- Execute software testing to include functional testing, system testing, regression testing, and performance testing.
- Record and maintain automated test script libraries for functional regression testing for assigned applications.
- Document software defects in an issue tracking system and proactively communicate issues with developers and other project team members.
- Participate in business requirements and functional specifications reviews early in the software development life cycle process.
- Manages scheduling to ensure efficient and effective product testing; identifies and reports risks to project schedule and product quality and proposes new methods to control and/or mitigate risks.
What we value
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
- 7 to 9 years of professional experience in software testing in a process driven technology environment.
- Demonstrated experience implementing and executing automation test scripts against web, native/desktop applications, APIs and batch applications.
- Proven experience in identifying high business value quality initiatives, developing detailed plans for execution and producing successful measurable results.
- Proficiency in modern web and application technologies as JavaScript, REST APIs, Electron, Python(FastAPI), and related frameworks to effectively understand and enable thorough testing across diverse platforms.
- Working knowledge of Git.
- Demonstrated experience in CICD tools with ability to effectively integrate tests into organization to help gather quality metrics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a financial industry or with financial business solutions.
- Expert ability to translate business requirements into technical testing solutions.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for automation, deployment and monitoring.
