In this role, you will contribute to Starbucks success by effectively developing and leading complex sourcing strategies and managing suppliers and internal networks to deliver best in class performance for the relevant spend area.

As a Procurement Manager, you will:

Sourcing Strategy:

  • Employ strong knowledge of key industry players, competitors and market dynamics.

  • Develop and lead complex sourcing strategies and build multi-year savings pipeline

  • Manage suppliers and internal networks

  • Consistently deliver measurable and strategic goals to enable bottom-line and top-line company growth, and corporate social responsibility leadership

  • Develop effective negotiation strategies

  • Professionally manage and measure suppliers for continuous performance and improvement

Cross-Functional Projects:

  • Work within Starbucks project management systems and tools

  • Independently solve problems and make decisions for primary and strategic execution and tactical issues within the relevant portfolio of projects and or processes.

  • Provide day-to-day oversight and perform a hands-on execution role

Leadership and Teamwork:

  • Lead using demonstrated and proven experience and the application of best practice procurement skills.

  • Work within peer group and leadership infrastructure to ensure that best practice and leverage opportunities are delivered.

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of procurement processes such as sourcing strategies, supplier relationship management, risk management, and key legal terms. Proficient knowledge of procurement processes such as RFXs, market analysis, ‘should-cost’ models, and standard legal protections (i.e. confidentiality agreements)

  • Strong acumen for coping with different business situations in a professional manner

  • Demonstrated ability to influence across peer groups and management

  • Experience employing project management tools and techniques.

  • Ability to anticipate others' perspectives.

  • Ability to navigate in an ambiguous environment with an agile response to change.

  • Strong influencing skills

  • Ability to prepare clear and concise verbal, written, and visual presentations

  • Ability to proactively identifies and engage in opportunities to expand knowledge via external benchmarking, external resources, leveraging knowledge of Sourcing experts, and learning more about the broader business.

Compensation & Benefits

The typical hiring range for this position is $95,500 - $129,990 CAD annually. Your base pay will reflect the market location and may vary based on your experience, skills, and internal equity.
